Register for Training
The Decision Support team in AITS provides training on topics related to the Data Warehouse and using Web Intelligence to create reports. We offer a variety of support and training options, from online demos to hands-on training. You can find classes and register for them here: https://answers.uillinois.edu/training/135739
Connect to EDDIE
The Enterprise Data Delivery Information Environment (EDDIE) system is a Business Objects environment for delivery of query, analysis, and reporting at the University of Illinois. Through EDDIE, you can retrieve, view, and print reports. You can also create custom reports of your own.
Log in to EDDIE
Install Web Intelligence On Your Desktop
If you are an administrator on your machine and have Power User access, you can install the Business Objects software on your machine using the Web Intelligence Rich Client Installation Guide. Once the software is installed, there are numerous resources to help you begin using the software to create custom reports.
Report Developer Responsibilities
Your access to the data in the Data Warehouse has been granted based on business need, and it is your responsibility to ensure the information you access is used appropriately.

DS Email Communication Lists
DS uses subscription-based email lists to keep users informed. Learn more, subscribe, unsubscribe, and manage your profile from the DS Email Communications Lists page.
ODBC Access
An ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) connection allows authorized users to access data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Oracle database using the ODBC enabled software of their choice. Oracle client software needs to be installed on any workstation that will be used to directly access the EDW Oracle database. Find out more about creating an ODBC Data Source Connection.
OLAP Cubes
A "cube" or data cube is an advanced tool for data analysis that provides fast and easy data manipulation from multiple perspectives. The cube provides a visual representation of a three-dimensional data structure.
Gaining access to an OLAP Cube requires a specific request from your USC. Users do not automatically have access to OLAP Cubes. In addition to OLAP cube access, you must have access to the underlying subject area.
Find additional information about the current OLAP cubes that Decisions Support offers and for instructions on how to connect to an OLAP cube, please visit the BI Analytics page.
