It happens to the best. At some point, working on a new report or trying to solve a problem with better data, you get stuck. No matter what you try, nothing seems to be working or you're just not getting the results you expect to see.

You ask a colleague for help and together you go chasing down rabbit holes only to wind up more confused and frustrated together. You'd like to just close it down and walk away, but that won't help answer the questions you're trying to find answers to with meaningful, valuable data. You know you're close, but sometimes close is still so far away.

You could continue hammering away at it, trying different approaches, starting over from scratch, and banging your head against the wall.

The Live Help Lab is the Answer

The Live Help Lab is a great way to get help, build your skills, gain confidence, and solve the problems you're facing that are holding you back. AITS data experts will come alongside you, listen to your challenges, identify your objective, and help you resolve your frustrations by getting unstuck, creating a working solution with you, and ensuring you understand how it works so you won't get stuck with the same challenges again.

You'll get unstuck and move your report or data analysis forward. You'll also gain better understand and expertise, becoming more valuable in your skill set and career. You'll gain competence and knowledge of how to be more efficient and effective when working with Web Intelligence.

But this is not for everyone.

The Live Help Lab is NOT:

  • An instructor-led training session: We don't have a planned topic or front-of-the-class teaching or demonstration.
  • A workshop: We aren't teaching you how to solve a specific problem or use a specific resource (such as a universe or data mart).
  • An incubator: This isn't a place to get started on your report or solution.
  • A report-building service: The lab is not a consulting service where a client shows up with a question and the experts create a solution.

The Live Help Labs ARE for Report Developers who:

  • have started working on a solution and need help to get unstuck
  • have specific questions to a specific problem
  • have a report started and saved from which to work
  • have completed the Web Intelligence: Reporting Basics live instructor-led course

If you fit this description, come to the Live Help Lab. By the end, having worked on your specific problem with a data expert, you will most likely have your issue resolved and have gained valuable knowledge, skills, and competence. At the very least, you'll know the next steps to move from stuck to unstuck and you'll have an expert ally helping you.

Register Now

Registration is easy via our online application. To move your reporting skills from rookie to skilled player:

  1. Click the Register button below.
  2. Log in using your EnterpriseID and password.
  3. In the list of "Available Courses:", look for "Live Help Lab".
  4. Check the box next to the course name by clicking on it.
  5. Click the Continue button.
    You will then see a listing of currently scheduled courses on your campus.
    (If you'd like to see scheduled sessions on another campus, just click the campus name.)
  6. Check the scheduled course dates and times for one that fits with your schedule.
    Note: These courses are in high demand, so please confirm the course will work with your schedule before registering.
  7. After confirming the course works with your schedule, click the Select button on the far right for the date and time you want to attend.
    Note: If the "Status" column shows "Open", seats are still available. If a class you would like to attend is full, please send an email message directly to Trish Curry to possibly be added to a course wait list.
  8. Review the registration verification on the following screen and the email address to receive a confirmation email.
  9. Click the Enroll button at the bottom of the page.
    After clicking Enroll, you will see an on-screen message and receive an email confirming your registration.
  10. Create an appointment on your calendar for the course and set the reminder for at least 30 minutes in advance (or more) to provide you enough time to travel to the classroom and get settled.
  11. On the day of the training, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to get set up and hit the ground running with your fellow participants.
