Continuity Projects, Exercises and Upcoming Event Information
AITS is committeed to ensuring that critical services across all three universities and System Office are continually availability for normal operations. We work to identify and provide guidance on potential events which may impact the delivery of information technology services. We provide assurance by practicing recovery procedures and exercises so IT services and objectives are being achieved.
Upcoming DR Events:
FY24 Isolated Exercise
As part of the ongoing DR governance, AITS rehearses site failover practices in an isolated environment periodically.
Annual Tabletop Exercise
On a yearly basis, AITS performs a tabletop exercise to evaluate response to different disaster scenarios.
Past FY23 Event:
The university ran production services from our Disaster Recovery Environment the weekend of 2/11 - 2/12/2023. This included all production services, Production AITS Linux Servers, Production AITS Solaris Servers, Production AITS Windows, and all clients of AITS maintained production services. Services experienced downtime on Saturday morning 2/11 when they were moved from the main data center to the new Disaster Recovery Environment, and then again on Sunday when they were moved back.
